My ASP Tutorials - Database Connection Example

Database Connections -- Accessing An Access Database:
To connect to an access database there are two main ways. Each of these ways, with some alteration, will work with any database. I just use an Access Database as an easy example. The first way to connect to the database assumes that you are on your local intranet and the database is stored on your C-Drive. (Refer to Example 1: Intranet Database Connection.) The second way to connect to the database assumes that you are accessing the database via the internet and the database is stored on your website in a folder called ?database?. (Refer to Example 2: Internet Database Connection.)

Example 1: Intranet Database Connection:
<%Response.Write "<a href=""your_url.asp" _
& """>" _
& "Your Text Here" _
& "</a>"
%>
